That's beautiful.. I have a thing for powerlines, especially contrasted with the blue sky with a few sparse clouds in the distance.. There's just something about them that feels reassuring.

Great photo.

Interesting juxtaposition of the natural form with the manmade. Nice photo.

Criticism: I would have framed it so that it was just the tree and pylon. The other things on the right don't add much to the composition.

Thank you for your comment.

I was trying to show the size progression from bit to small. I do see your point however, I will keep it mind then framing, much appreciated :)

I was drawn to this picture for two reasons...

1. I also appear to have a facination with power lines
2. I'm from Aus too and intantly recognised their distinctive form beautifully lit in your photo.

I also like the sequence of the main elements, the tree, the two larger towers and the small tower.

There is a blue spot near the main pole, perhaps glare from the sun. If you removed it, say with a healing brush, it would improve the overall consistancy of the colours in the sky.

I'm just guessing but was this shot taken near the central coast?

Thank you I am glad you liked my photo and even :+fav: it :D

I was at this spot before and say the tree but did not work out how to fit it into my shot.

I will try to fix that spot, I used some cleaning up software which blurred it a bit, but not removed it too much. Thank you for the observation and advice :)

The shot was taken in Carlingford, which is a suburb ontop of a hill overlooking Parramatta and it really has incredible sunsets.

It looks alot like the power poles in Newcastle but I guess they are probably all the same in NSW. ;)

No problems on the :+fav:, it was an excellent shot.
